Crochet Weather Blanket – CAL – 6th Week

Here comes finally the status report after the 6th week of crocheting a weather blanket. If you have no idea what this is about, you can read it in the Pattern to Crochet a Weather Blanket nachlesen.

6th Week of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

This week it got me too, because everything remained white. Not necessarily in front of the door, because there were only a few crumbs hanging from the snow at the roof edges. But the weather blanket was completely white this week and I was a bit scared.

36th Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

It is only 0 ° C and the sky is only slightly cloudy, so I crochet half double crochet stitches in white. Since I liked the snowflakes last week so much, I cheated a bit. My half double crochet stitches sit between the flakes so they are pushed apart a bit and appear rounder. I call it artistic freedom! 😉

37th Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

At -2 ° C, it is freezing cold, but the sun is making us laugh. I crochet the sun pattern in white.

38th Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

The thermometer climbs very slowly to 1 ° C, despite the sun is shining almost all day long. I once again crochet the sun pattern in white.

39th Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

It is only -1 ° C and the sky is still covered today. If it keeps up this way, I can stay with the white yarn all week.

40th Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

It is 0 ° C and the sky is clear to slightly cloudy, so again there are half double crochet stitches in white.

41st Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

Well, 4 ° C are still white and it is also cloudy to clear again. This week seems like a single repetition.

42nd Day of Crocheting a Weather Blanket

The thermometer seems to have got stuck at 4 ° C and it is overcast. Then we crochet single crochet stitches in white, who would have guessed.

Well this way it looks, after 6 weeks of crocheting a weather blanket. For me, with the last week, a thick white bar came to it. At the beginning it looked pretty weird, but the pretty pattern makes it beautiful again. The combination of snow, sun and clouds has made me happy a little bit. Now imagine that we crocheted a vile temperature blanket. So I think after this week half of us would have thrown it into the corner. 😉

Well then, I would like to order spring! Which one of you do I have to contact?

Projection for the Weather Blanket

New week new luck. The blanket now weighs 562g and is 27cm long. The factor for 42 days is 8.7th Thus, 4889g and 234cm are expected in the end. By the sun and a few clouds the week has again quite a lot in the weight and in the long run. Much more interesting is that I have already crocheted more than half a kilo Yarn, so a total of 11 yarn balls. Uiuiuiui!

Hands-on-task!

Here comes the next hands-on-task! Write a comment describing the work on your blanket and attach a photo of your blanket! If you are not ready yet, you can do that any time! The following questions could help you: How many rows has your widest stripe of one colour? Are you still lagging behind? What tips do you have for others? If you like you can also send your projection again!
