Over 100 days we aged while crocheting the weather blanket and there are also advantages. If you have no idea what this is about, you can read it in the Pattern to Crochet a Weather Blanket.
The weather is wonderful unstable this week, as expected in April. But we had been rewarded with great pattern combinations in addition to the first nice days. On Thursday I was allowed to crochet the thunderstorm pattern for the first time and I´m very satisfied with it.
That´s why I faced a new challange on friday. Because the thunderstorm on Thursday was followed by rain. I had to try a while to find out how to crochet the rain on the thunderstorm. At the end I succeed crocheting the normal double crochet stitches (UK!) into the back loop of the chain stitches and the deeper double crochet stitches (UK!) always from right to left into the treble crochet stitches (UK!). The raindrops are now sitting exactly on the thunderbolts and I like the result a lot.

Now the weather blanket weighs 1410g and is 75cm long. With a factor of 3,5 after 105 days this means 4935g and 263cm for the whole weather blanket. As you can see the warm days still contribute the growth a bit. But I think in fall the numerous rainy days will relativize it again.
