Inhalt

Introduction: Amigurumi – Minimee Crochet Mouse “Lina”

Before crocheting the Amigurumi Mouse, some preparation is necessary. Here you will find comprehensive information about the required prerequisites, materials, and size. If you need help, you can follow the additional links.

Achtung!

Prerequisites

Before you start implementing the crochet pattern for the Amigurumi Mouse, it is important that you are already familiar with the following crochet techniques. If you do not master all of them yet, you will find comprehensive tutorials here to learn them.

  • Chain Stitches
  • Decreases
  • Double Crochet Stitches (UK!)
  • Half Treble Crochet Stitches (UK!)
  • Increases
  • Loops of a Stitch
  • Magic Ring
  • Slip Stitches
  • Spiral Rounds
  • Turning Chain Stitches

Hinweis!

Supplies

The Amigurumi Mouse shown here was crocheted with the following materials. In general, the Amigurumi Mouse can be crocheted with any yarn and a matching hook size. If you expect an identical result, you should try to use exactly the shown materials. In addition to the materials, all necessary tools and supplies are also listed here.

Crochet Hook

You will need a crochet hook with a size of 12 (british). For converting to other sizes, the crochet hook size converter will help you. I have selected some great crochet hooks for you here.

Darning Yarn

I have used darning yarn in the shade of rose here. If you cannot find a suitable darning yarn in your supplies, I have already selected some for you.

Filling

For filling, I used wadding made of 100% viscose. However, there are numerous alternatives for filling material. If you’ve run out of filling, I’ve prepared a refill for you here.

Paint

I used acrylic paint in the shade of pink here. This paint is non-toxic, water-dilutable, waterproof, and adheres to almost any surface. I found a great set of acrylic paints for you to try out here.

Pins

You’ll also need a few pins. The more colorful your collection, the better. If you need more, I’ve found something for you.

Ribbon

I’ve used organza ribbon or satin ribbon here. The width is 1/5 inches. The color is pink. If you can’t find anything suitable, I’ve selected a set of beautiful ribbons for you here.

Safety Eyes

I used 2 safety eyes with a diameter of 1/4 inches. The eyes are completely black. However, there are countless alternatives for amigurumi eyes. You might prefer other safety eyes as well.

Scissors – any

You’ll need any scissors. It’s best to use your most beautiful scissors because it brings you joy. If you don’t have really nice scissors, I’ve picked out some lovely ones for you.

Wool Needle

You’ll need a wool needle with a blunt tip. The thickness of the wool needle should match the thickness of your yarn. You might like the set of wool needles I’ve picked out for you.

Yarn – Schachenmayr – Catania – 242 – stein (dunkelgrau)

I used yarn in the shade Stone. The material is 100% cotton. The yardage is 137 yds / 1.75 oz. If you want to replenish your supply, I’ve already picked out the matching yarn for you here.

Hinweis!

Size

Here are the size specifications for the crocheted Amigurumi Mouse. The height was measured standing without ears. Please note that the actual size depends on the yarn used, the size of the crochet hook, and individual crochet tension.

Needle SizeYardageSize
Crochet Hook 12137 yds / 1.75 oz2 2/5 inch
Crochet Hook 11120 yds / 1.75 oz3 inches
Crochet Hook 9 or 1093 yds / 1.75 oz?

Hinweis!

Crochet Pattern: Amigurumi – Minimee Crochet Mouse “Lina”

Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina - pattern - free crochet pattern

Now we start with the crochet pattern for the small Minimee Mouse. For our Mouse, we first crochet the head from top to bottom in spiral rounds and immediately attach the body. After that, we crochet arms, legs, ears, and the tail for the Mouse. Finally, you get to assemble all the parts and give your mouse a personal touch.

Crochet Head for Mouse (1x)

pattern - free crochet pattern - Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina

Let’s first crochet the head for the Mouse. We work from top to bottom in spiral rounds and do not cut the thread because we will crochet the body right onto it afterward.

Hinweis!

Crochet Body for Mouse (1x)

As described earlier, we now crochet the body directly onto the head. If you accidentally cut the thread, you can simply continue as if starting with a new color.

Crochet Ears for Mouse (2x)

crochet pattern - free pattern - Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina

We crochet the cute big ears of the Mouse in spiral rounds from top to bottom. Of course, since a mouse should have two ears, you should crochet two ears for your Mouse.

Hinweis!

  • grey:
  • 1st round:
    • magic ring
    • into the magic ring:
      • 6 double crochet stitches (UK!)

  • 2nd round:

    • = 12 stitches
  • 3rd – 5th round:
    • (= 3 rounds)
    • every stitch one stitch
    • = 12 stitches
  • 6th round:
    • crochet together every 1st and 2nd stitch
    • = 6 stitches
  • cut yarn generously, pull through loop, do NOT cut the yarn end, it will be used later for sewing

The Mouse’s ears are not filled after crocheting but only folded flat. Later, they will be sewn with the open side to the top of the head.

Crochet Arms for Mouse (2x)

free crochet pattern - pattern - Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina

We crochet the two arms for the little Mouse in just 2 rows, once back and forth. Just follow the instructions!

Hinweis!

      • 2 turning chain stitches
      • 1 slip stitch
    • 3x one slip stitch into one stitch
    • = 5 stitches
  • cut yarn generously, pull through loop, do NOT cut the yarn end, it will be used later for sewing

Crochet Legs for Mouse (2x)

pattern - crochet pattern - Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina

The legs of the Mouse are almost crocheted the same way as the two arms. Here, we only crochet 2 half double crochets in the second row to make the feet a bit wider than the small hands.

Hinweis! Crochet Tail for Mouse (1x)

free pattern - crochet pattern - Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina

Now you’ve almost done it because we just need to crochet a tail for our Mouse. Since the tail is just a chain of stitches, it should be a breeze for you to crochet.

  • grey:
  • 1st row:
    • 15 chain stitches
    • = 15 stitches
  • cut yarn generously, pull through loop, do NOT cut the yarn end, it will be used later for sewing

Finish Minimee Mouse

Now we’re almost finished. Before you start sewing the parts, you can do a little fitting. To do this, pin all the individual parts with pins. It makes it easier to find the right places, and you can already take a look at the complete Mouse. If something doesn’t sit right, it’s easily corrected.

Sew Ears to Head

Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina - crochet pattern - free pattern

The two ears of the Mouse are unfilled and folded flat. They are placed with the straight side on the top left and right sides of the head. From the top, they form a line through the center of the head parallel to the eyes.

Attach Arms and Legs

Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina - free crochet pattern - pattern

Next, you can attach the arms and legs to the body of the Mouse. The arms are attached about 4 stitches apart after the 16th round, and the legs are attached about 3 stitches apart under the small edge of stitches after the 23rd round. It is helpful if you first find the center based on the eyes and attach the arms and legs on each side. Here, it is more important to maintain the same distance from the center than to ensure the exact distance between the two parts. You can also read again how to attach small parts to an Amigurumi.

Sew Tail to Body

Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina - free pattern - crochet pattern

Finally, sew the tail of the Mouse in the middle on the back. The tail is placed above the small edge of stitches after the 22nd round.

Embroider a Nose

Amigurumi - Minimee Crochet Mouse - Lina - pattern - free crochet pattern

Of course, the cute button nose of the little Mouse is still missing. With embroidery yarn, you stitch the nose on. To do this, first work the vertical line and then the actual nose with horizontal stitches around two stitches until it has a good fullness.

Create Details

Now we come to the crowning conclusion because it’s time to give the little Mouse its own charm. I tied a sweet bow around her and drew matching cheeks. You can decorate the little Mouse however you like best.

Done!
